A databases is a powerful and useful tool that you can use to store whatever information you desire! By using a database, you are then able to bring up and display whatever information you need.

You can use a web page to access the database and then pull up specific information that you have set - and you can have different options to display certain information or not, depending on your needs.

There are the basic desktop applications, such as Access, and then server-based ones that are on the web, such as SQL and MySQL. It is also possible to import and export data between the two types. In other words, you can enter the information in Access and then have it 'imported' or placed into MySQL. This then allows you instant display capabilities anywhere that internet access is available. If you use Access it also available via the web, as long as the configuration and setup are correct.
